1. Tung Anh Primary School – Lesson plan grade 2 – School 2021-2022 Date of teaching: March 29th 2022(2C) April 1st 2022(2D) UNIT 13: IN THE MATHS CLASS Lesson 1 I. OBJECTIVES: 1. Knowledge, skills: - By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to correctly pronounce N/n and the sound /n/ in isolation and in the words eleven, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. - Develop Ss listening and speaking skills. 2. Competence development - Remember and say some new words eleven, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. 3. Quality - Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. - Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students, love activities, love learning English. II. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher: - Board, chalk, textbooks, computer accessed to the Internet, TV, picture cards. 2. Students: - Books, notebooks, workbooks. III. PROCEDURES Teacher’s activities Student’s activities Activity 1: Warm up. - Have ss to look through 3 pictures( which is closed). Activity 2: Presentation 1. Listen and repeat. - Have ss look at the picture and draw ss’ attention to the letter N/n the words next to the things and the colour of the letter N/n. - Look at the picture and listen. - Ask ss to point to the letter N/n. Have them listen and repeat the sound of the letter - Point, listen and repeat. N/n more than once, if necessary. - Tell ss to point to the village . Ask them to listen and repeat the word. - Ss repeat. -Repeat the same Procedure: with the words: eleven, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. - Ss listen and repeat. Give further support to those ss who find it difficult to do the task. - Play the recording again and have them listen, point to the letter N/n and the eleven, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen and repeat until - SS listen, point and repeat. they feel confident. Correct pronunciation, if necessary. - Play the recording again and call some ss to say the letter N/n and the eleven, thirteen, - SS say in front of the class. fourteen, fifteen in front of the class. Activity 3 : Practice 2. Point and say. - Have ss look at the picture again and ask them to describe the picture again (in Vietnamese). Activity 4: Futher practice - Play game: Number race - Divide the class into 4 teams to play game. Have each team form a linein front of the board. - Write four different numbers on the board. Explain that when you call out a number, - Ss look and listen. the student at the front of each line must race to touch the correct number.
