2. Period: 23 Planning date:23/10/2020 REVIEW 1 Lesson 1(Vocabulary and grammar) A. Aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to revise the vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar they’ve learnt and practice doing exercises *Skills: Listen, speak * Teaching aids: Textbook, copied papers, media, pictures. B. Procedures: I. Vocabulary: 1. Warm up: a, Help Ss organize an exhibition of the costume designs they have prepared at home. Let them talk about their designs. b, Finding friends: Organize these words phrases into pairs of opposites peaceful # noise hard # easy boring # exciting forget # remember traditional # modern country life # city life love # hate majority # minority 2. Look at part 4, put a verb in the correct form in each gap to complete the sentences. Ss do this exercises individually and then share their answer with a partner. Check Ss’ answers. 1. like / enjoy, listening, visiting 2. forget 3. flying / to fly 4. mind, to do / doing 5. playing / to play II. Pronunciation: 1. Listen and repeat the following words and phrases: T plays the recording and Ss repeat. Play the recording as many times as necessary. Pause and correct Ss’ pronunciation. 2. Play the recording two or more times, if necessary. Help Ss recognise all the words with /sk/, /sp/, /st/, /br/, /bl/, and /cl/ then underline them as instructed. T may ask Ss to read the sentences as a class, or individually. Check pronunciation and intonation. Key: + I used to climb tress when I was small + How can we improve our speaking skills?

4. Period: 24 Planning date:28/10/2020 REVIEW 1 Lesson 2( Skills) A. Aims: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to practice speaking, reading and listening skills, writing and doing exercises *Skills: Speaking, reading, listening and writing. *Teaching aids: Textbook, copied papers, media, pictures. B. Procedures I. Warm up: Speaking: Talk about what your family members like doing in their free time. T encourages them to talk as much as possible, using the verbs of linking they have learnt. Ex. My dad likes to V / Ving............ My mom likes............................ II. Reading: a. Ss read the letter once or twice. T clarifies anything they do not understand fully. Ss do the task individually, then check with a partner. T corrects. Key: 1.T 2.T 3.F 4.T 5.F b. Ss do the exercise in pairs. T correct as a class. Key: 1. Which museum does Kim love to visit on Saturday afternoon? 2. How many ( clay and stone) objects are on display at the museum? 3. What can you learnt in this museum / Da Nang museum? III. Listening Listen to the passage and choose the correct answers. T makes sure Ss understand the meaning of these sentences in Vietnamese. T plays the recording once or twice. Ss listen and choose their answers. Play the recording again for Ss to check their answers. Explain the new words or anything difficult if necessary. Key: 1.B 2.A 3.A 4.C 5.B IV. Writing: Giving opinion Before writing, have Ss brainstorm ideas about life in the countryside: advantages, disadvantages, what they like and dislike, etc... Then explain the writing task. Also have them brainstorm words and phrases they may need for their writing. In my opinion/ I think life in the countryside has many good points. Firstly............

Aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to revise some words and structures that they’ve learnt from Unit1 to Unit 3 * Grammar:- Love/ don’t(doesn’t) mind/adore/ be interested in /hate/fancy+ V-ing - Comparative( long and short adjectives) *Skills: 4 skills *Teaching aids: pieces of papers, posters, a ball B. Procedures * Warm up * Brainstorm. - T divides the class into 2 groups and asks them to write the advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside. - Group A: + Advantages - Group B: + Disadvantages.  T corrects - T asks some Ss to tell something about the life in the countryside( using the information above) I .Grammar - Love/ don’t(doesn’t) mind /adore/ be interested in/hate/fancy + V-ing - Comparative( long and short adjectives) II. Warm up: Do the crossword puzzle : Ss’ book (p36) T guides Ss to do this. Ss do , T checks and corrects . 2. Reading: (P2) a- Pre- reading: Look at nouns and guess the numbers related to the information + 1000 : student(s) + 26 : class(es) + 40 : teacher(s) + 3 : building(s) + 1 : yard(s) + 5 : club(s) b - While- reading : - Read the text and check your predictions - Answer the questions ( lucky numbers) + Where is the writer’s new school? + What are the students like ? + What are the teachers like ? + How many clubs are there in the school? + Why does the author love the school ? c. Play the recording again for Ss to check their answers. Announce the answers to Ss. Writing: Write an e-mail to your friend tell him/her about a family member .Include this information: + Who the person is. + How old he/ she. + What his/her job is/was. + What he/she likes doing. + What he/she does for you. T elicits parts of an e-mail. Ask Ss to work in 6 groups to do this activity. T goes around to observe. Give each group a large-sized piece of paper to write their e-mail. Ask one or two groups to stick their finished product on the board. Other Ss and T give comments. Then T collects some e-mails to correct at home. 5.Speaking: Interview two classmates. Ask them what they like and dislike about your school and the reasons why. Write their answers in the table and report them to the class.
